Michael Pettifer

Vancouver,British Columbia

Summary

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Education with a specialization in Physical and Health Education at the University of British Columbia. I completed my teaching practicum at Kitsilano Secondary School. With over a decade of experience coaching basketball at Lord Byng Secondary School, I have developed a profound understanding of mentoring youth athletes. My extensive coaching experience across Vancouver and within the Vancouver School Board has honed my ability to inspire, motivate, and nurture young athletes and students. As I prepare to transition from a volunteer role to a full-time teaching position within the VSB, I am eager to bring my passion and experience to a broader student base, fostering growth and development in future generations.
