Once I learned many of my Technical Skills along with my Application Knowledge, I became most valuable to my company as a training and teaching resource. For the final 10 years of my career, I trained programmers both here and abroad regarding the Financial Services Industry and how to work as part of a team effectively. I trained Operations people about the computer side of things so that they could effectively understand how the data processing worked and the end results daily produced by the System they supported. I taught them how they could ask for changes or new processing to always obtain the results from the System they wanted or needed. I in turn taught programmers that Operations people are an extension of a team all with the same goal, and to work effectively day in and day out to produce the best results. I was admired by both my management and peers for my dedication and professionalism.
Performed the same tasks as when working for Morgan Stanley in New York.
Expanded my responsibilities to training and teaching all the applications I worked on to consultants the Firm now employed around the world.
Competent Toastmaster in the areas of Public Speaking and Organization skills.
Owning full stereo equipment a legacy hobby of mine as opposed to simply listening to music through a cell phone or Ipod. I have come to the realization over time that combining a cell phone and speakers both with Bluetooth Technology can produce close to fully stereo sound in 2024.
I always have felt people everywhere work very hard on their music and deserve to be heard. I have a soft spot for classical music and opera, having grown up in New York City with so many opportunities to see performances live. The same would be true for rock bands, crooners, and the like. It is a most enjoyable hobby, although not at today's prices for both equipment and live concerts.
