An organized and hardworking candidate seeking a summer full-time position within the government sector. I am currently pursuing a bachelor of arts with a major in criminology with a completion date of April 2025. My years of working with the YMCA have prepared me to meet different challenges with a varied skill set, including leading a team, planning, collaboration, and adaptability I performed my job with flexibility, patience, and a positive attitude. Duties: Working as Group Activity Leader in a floater capacity, I work in different elementary schools in Surrey with YMCA before and after school programs. I work with a team to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for children to participate in YMCA school programs. I contribute to the integration, maintenance and development of care plans within the program. I model professional, respectful and positive behaviours and participate actively in site activities. Establish positive relationships and communication with parents and team members. I adhere to all YMCA regulations, policies and procedures. I attend and participate in all YMCA training.
Duties: Assisted in the management of all aspects of the camp programs and facilities including directly supervising and providing leadership to a team of staff. Responsible for planning and implementing positive and supportive child-centred programming which welcomed all individuals. Created and supported a positive and respectful camp culture while building positive and cooperative relationships with parents and caregivers. Assisted with the daily supervision of the staff including resolving problems in an effective and timely manner, staff scheduling and sending out weekly staff emails. Supported staff with program planning and daily coverage. Followed all YMCA camp procedures policies and regulations including all health and safety regulations., camper supervision, drop-off and pick-up procedures and all administration forms required by the YMCA. Communicated with staff, campers and parents in a professional and timely manner and committed to providing all campers at Sullivan Hall with a great camp experience.
Duties: As a Group Activity Leader at Sullivan Hall Camp, I was responsible for leading a group of campers weekly that were aged from 6-12 years old. I led and participated in daily camp activities such as camp games, crafts, songs and theme days. I created and supported a safe, caring and inclusive environment and implemented the YMCA fair play policies. I followed all YMCA camp procedures, policies and regulations including all health and safety regulations. I communicated with all staff, parents, and campers in a professional, respectful and timely manner. I committed to providing all campers with a great camp experience.
