LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE

Chief Resident, Department of Pathology. University College Hospital : (Jan 2016 - Oct 2018)

I mentored junior residents in pathology with regards program and professional expectations. I designed academic programs within the department including multi-institutional slide EQAs/programs, multidisciplinary inter-departmental programs for rotating residents from other specialties with emphasis on " benefits to pathology as a specialty " . I also designed an institutional procedural handbook breaking down barriers of communication and misconceptions when dealing/handling cadavers in the morgue, as well as post-mortem practices for both clinicians and the general public alike

Acting Head, Department of Anatomic Pathology. University of Medical Sciences/University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital (Sept 2022 - Oct 2023)

I served as the acting head of department for both the academic and clinical offices of the department of anatomic pathology. In this role, i served as an administrator responsible for running the department while simultaneously providing undergraduate medical education to medical students and serving as a trainer for postgraduate medical residents. My activities included administering lectures, organizing assessments and participating in professional undergraduate MBBS examinations. I was actively involved in undergraduate curriculum development, notably designing interactive gross anatomic logbooks to facilitate easier understanding of gross pathology of autopsy specimen/Surgical pathology specimen.
