Key Responsibilities:

1. Framework Construction:

Measure, cut, and assemble wood or other materials to construct the framework, walls, floors, and roof systems of houses.

Erect, level, and install building framework with precision using hand and power tools.

2. Reading Blueprints and Plans:

Interpret architectural blueprints and technical drawings to ensure construction aligns with specifications.

Calculate dimensions and plan layout to fit design requirements.

3. Installation Work:

Install doors, windows, stairs, and other fixtures in residential buildings.

Construct cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in features as required.

4. Material Handling:

Select, measure, and shape lumber, drywall, and other construction materials.

Inspect materials for defects to ensure structural integrity and durability.

5. Collaboration and Safety:

Work closely with other tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution.

Follow building codes, safety protocols, and environmental standards.

6. Repairs and Adjustments:

Repair damaged structures, reinforce existing frameworks, and ensure quality and durability.

Replace or retrofit older components in renovation projects.

7. Tool Operation:

Operate and maintain tools, including saws, drills, hammers, and levels, ensuring safe and effective use.
