Michael Huben

Novell Design Build is a company that designs and builds multi million dollar homes and high quality home renovations for our clients. As the project coordinator for Novell, I am involved in all facets of the company collaborating with different internal teams and working with all stakeholders involved. Some of my tasks include the following:

• Working with various trades to issue contracts, order materials and organize work being done on site.
• Speaking with our clients answering any queries they have and updating them on project progress
• Assist our Project Manager with budgeting, vendor payments, client site meetings and scheduling
• Reporting on project progress, problem solving site issues and weather related delays
• I have taken on the Project Manager role for our sister landscaping company Novella Outdoors, vetting vendors, assessing project bids and writing estimates for our clients approval

Since working with Novell I have developed the communication and organization skills required when working with multiple trades at once. I have improved my time management skills when ensuring I work on all projects an appropriate amount ensuring no tasks are left undone or to a low quality.

• Trained and received certifications in the required fields to become a certified SAP EWM Consultant
• Work closely with senior consultants assisting them in various stages of the projects
• Travelled with a team to customer sites, learning their needs and tailoring our EWM system to their satisfaction
• Completed ABAP training to assist in backend development of customer systems
• Demoed walkthroughs and processes of our system for future customer workshops

Being my first job since graduating, the Junior Project Manager role in Huawei was very important for me to sharpen my skills and understand the importance of being a successful project manager. Since starting with Huawei I have been a part of 3 projects.

eir SRAN project

The eir SRAN project is for the rollout of 5G across Ireland for eir. This project is the first I was involved in for Huawei and our main focus was handing over completed sites to eir.

• Worked closely with the design and RF teams to solve any outstanding issues
• Scheduled visits for eir field engineers to go out and assess the sites
• Worked very closely with ASPs, ensuring all required documentation is correct and complete
• Assisted with the implementation of new working systems to complete site handovers and reach yearly quotas.

H3G project

The H3G project is for the rollout of 5G across Ireland for 3. This was a delivery only project and I was assigned head PM within my first 3 months at Huawei

• Completed the 2021 budget and budget updates
• Worked closely with supply chain to gather equipment information and lead times
• Kept a good relationship with the 3 PM, assisting where possible and resolving any issues they had.
• Created weekly and monthly reports for PO's and equipment ETA's and batch information

K2 Data Center

The K2 project is for the new data center being built in Blanchardstown. Huawei is the contractor responsible for supplying, fitting, and de-snagging the IEC units

• Created daily reports for site progress and IEC positioning
• Created snag list and working with subcontractors to ensure all snags are completed
• Complete all documentation for each project stage timely and correctly
• Held weekly meetings with the management company discussing progress and issues

As an American passport holder, SAP entrusted me to represent the Irish branch by going over and work in SAP's American Headquarters.

While there I was given the opportunity to work closely with a team in Sales Hybris.

I received customer experience training in Newtown Square, preparing me for when I would travel to a customer site.

• Worked remotely with customers creating User Stories and learning about Hybris and its capabilities.
• Was given the opportunity to visit a customer site and showcase the Hybris product.
• Demonstrated products to show potential customers benefits, advantages and encourage purchases.
• Working closely with customers to learn about their desires from the Hybris application

I was a member of the HANA Product Support team at SAP; which is a multi-disciplinary team designed to provide support to SAP clients and users.

• Working in a support role and dealing with all variety of customers and issues brought many challenges; but I was consistently learning from them and developed my expertise.
• Providing phone support and using SAP proprietary tools has increased my knowledge of the company and how it operates.
