• Develop estimates through various stages of project cycle from early development / concept through appropriation / execution
• Using microsoft excel to perform material take-offs from bill of materials & coordinating with supplier vendors
• Review cost history on completed projects and apply appropriate pricing and labor factors to materials, equipment, form work, etc.
• Become familiar with all aspects of engineering drawings, plans and specifications
• Fully understand work scope, developing and applying cost effective manufacturing processes
• Monitor proposal costing on a weekly basis and reporting to production meetings

Performing routine quality assessments on incoming materials and outgoing services and products

• Interpreting engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to understand design requirements of products
• Measuring product dimensions, examining functionality of products, and comparing final products to see if standards are met
• Documenting inspection findings, and completing detailed reports and performance records.

• Complete machine operation
• Analyze engineering drawings
• Setup (Tooling, Work holding, G54 Work offsets, Program Proving)
• Operation (Loading stock into machine, unloading and deburring finished parts)
• Operate 3 axis Machining Centers, Manual/Conversation language machinery, surface grinding equipment, etc.
• Develop programs for small 3 axis CNC Mill parts, 2 axis CNC lathe parts
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Machinery maintenance (filter changing, way lube oil top up, managing coolant PH levels, etc).

• Operate 3 & 5 axis CNC Vertical Machining Centers, CNC Lathes with live tooling capabilities, Horizontal Band Saws, etc
• Load raw material stock into machine work holding devices, unload finished machined parts
• Deburr finished machined parts
• Various other general laboring tasks based on shop requirements
