I have had a broad and extensive exposure to Open Pit Mining Operations over the past 15 years working and Experienced with Safety Rules, Roles and Policies of all 6 major Oilsands Projects within the Wood Buffalo Region. This has afforded me the opportunity to be involved in processes relating to the maintenance and execution of both the Tailings, Mining and Maintenance Operations of these sites.
I have also gained Exposure and Experience in the gravel hauling industry local to Fort Mcmurray as well as the TMX Pipeline Expanspansion Project through out BC, gaining experience in the Dispatching and Operations aspects of the Hauling of Aggregate within the regions of the R.M.W.B. and most of BC (Kamloops to Jasper).

  • Checked, Greased and Topped off fluids in all operational Haul Trucks, Dozers, Excavators, Shovels etc.

  • Operating heavy equipment (797B/F Series as well as 785's) in a safe and respecful manner to move, load and unload materials in an effort to help the client to achieve their Safety and Production oriented goals.

  • Hosting Safety meetings daily with onsite employees.
  • Identify any potential hazard on site and implement the necessary pre-cautionary measures to prevent incidents.
  • Ensure that the work area is kept safe and maintained with good housekeeping practices to ensure that the job site is left neat and hazard free at the end of each shift.

  • This position required me to be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather.
  • Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to; customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections.
  • Follow instructions, review and sign off on SJP's for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor including the delivery of Hot water at the field level to assist in Syncrudes Tailings Operations site wide.
  • Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of personal and company image/reputation.
