Heritage Bindery produces specialized work approved by the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB) and the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America ( ABAA) dealers and Client collectors. In addition to repairing rare and antiquarian books, Heritage Bindery also repairs, mats and frames autographed letters, original paintings, artwork, and illustrations, and modern first editions. I bring over 30 years of precision hand binding and period restoration and conservation on first edition or rare collectable volumes to a moth eaten family bibles ans meet the expectations od rare book dealers, collectors, major universities, world renowned auction houses, Hollywood celebrities ans music Icons.

Rare document, map and paper repair, restoration and conservation. Archival mating, framing and glazing with custom frame shop on premises.

Manager and train employees to ABAA standards of restoration, In charge of ordering and stocking of supplies and merchandise to shelves from suppliers in the US and international.

Dedicated to offering old world craftsmanship for high end antiques and reproduction furniture, desks and leather table top replacement.

- Remove original leather, prepare sub top, stain and install new leather in preparation of gilding. Hand stain English calf, hand tool 23 kt gold leaf and blind tooling and corners stamping to period or to clients tastes or wishes. Leather table tops, writing slopes, leather desk blotters and mouse pads, Shagreen repair and installation on antiques- leather repair in antique chairs.

In charge or ordering and stocking of supplies and merchandise onto shelves including international suppliers and in US (local).

As Bindery Manager I was responsible for managing all activities and job ques for 7 in house and 3 international employees related to finishing product and verifying that work meets the Heritage Bindery's requirements and quality standards. Worked closely with Bookshop owners and President of Acquisitions to insure the success of the department.

- review production schedules, material and manpower recourse. Assign employees repairs or conservation boxes to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements. Resolve problems affecting production issues and keep owners informed of any urgent issues. Participate in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures. Ensure staff is trained and practice safe work habits when operating heavy machinery or equipment. Maintain variety or reports, records and productions documentation to reflect schedules, proformance, order supplies from all over the world and stock shelves, Excellent customer relations, pricing estimates and invoicing.

Recruited as Head Picture framer responsible to Heritage Bookshops extensive autograph and original artwork collection. Specialized in mating, framing and conservation work for the entire onsite collection. In charge of the World famous autograph and original artwork collection, overseeing storage, repairs, mating, framing and glazing pieces to be put on gallery walls for sale to the public or shipped international.

Museum quality matting and framing, archival sleeves and custom built conservation boxes for long term storage required for all pieces in flat storage.

Oversee selection of pieces from collection from frame and display on gallery walls and repairs if needed.

Hired as a customer service clerk, quickly promoted to framer in Framing Department.

Oversaw daily operations, coordinating work orders with available supplies to complete work orders as specified per work order. Cut mats, cut and joined frames, attaching art work and glazing to complete frame jobs ordered by customer.

Experience with mitered saws, manual chop rigs, pneumatic joiners, Nail gun joining, large scale production work, gilding frames, glass cutting and wall mount as well had oval hand cutting or special fitted glass cuts. Wet Mounting as well as dry mounting 40X60, large and over size mounting and mat cutting. Specialized in canvas stretching.

In Charge of three main stores in Montrose CA, lake View Terrace, CA, and Belair CA. Filling in at Saint Monica CA, Westwood and North Hills when needed.

Arrive at independent grocery stores, communicate with location Store receiver for ordered products, conduct inventory of ordered stock, check for accuracy then stock shelves and order additional product for next week. Price individual products with pricing gun and check that price tag reflects same price as marked on shelf and in catalog. Communicate with Store manager weekly and build end cap displays with supplied product when necessary.

Broke down loads with store receiver, checked load for accuracy, stocked shelves with product, rotated product with fresh stock, go-back returns. End cap and display building for holiday or special ad products. Custom displays relying on my artistic background.

Also worked in HABA. Restocking shelves, removing old stock or out of date product, remolding shelves to fit new products as needed.

Assigned to operate cardboard baling machine, Big Joe and little joes off loading product from delivery trucks. Inventory check for accuracy.
