  • Preparing, reviewing and revising radiation protection procedures – PHAI RP Plan, Dosimetry Plan, Radiological Work Permits, Post-Work ALARA, ALARA Assessments, Contractor RP Program (Plan & Operating Procedures) and other supporting documentations within the program.
  • Engage in the Radiation Protection program at the CNL operated water treatment Plants and Contractor operated waste excavation sites. Provide solutions and advices to emerging RP problems and ensure implementation is executed in timely manner.
  • Provide interpretation and advice of the CNSC Act (NSCA) and its regulations to management, staff and contractors.
  • Perform oversight of sub-contractor's RP Program and ensure implementation is carried out in compliance manner at the sites. This includes site visits to observe RP practices, performing confirmatory RP measurements (e.g., dose rate, contamination), and participating in audits or review of data, procedures, and logs.
  • Response, investigate unplanned events and prepare follow-up reports to Senior Management and regulator, such as alarming iCAM, skin contamination incidents, intake incident, RP hold-points etc.
  • Preparing and participating in annual RP-program compliance reviews and CNSC audits.
  • Organize, plan, develop and advise PHAI MO staff and sub-contractors of RP requirements for work through operation procedures, work plans and permits.
  • Establishing, implementing and maintaining radiation protection performance models and metrics such as zoning compliance survey matrix.
  • Observe such staff at work, and provide coaching on proper RP protocols as required.
  • Perform Annual Source Inspection as required by site license
  • Assess and deliver RP group training to new employees based on their job description in commensurate to the RP risks.
