After receiving design plot from the client, (Lighting Designer) calculating power requirements for overall lighting system
Assigning individual numbers and profiles to each instrument on lighting plot
Working with Production Gaffer on schedule and logistics for on site load in
Once on site, directing and supervising load in of equipment in conjunction with Gaffer, other assigned Technicians and stagehands
Installation of Lighting system, keeping within the boundaries of Production schedule
Insuring complete functionality of Lighting system throughout the course of entire Production
Rehearsals:
Once installation is complete and on camera, working with the Lighting Designer, talent, Stage Management and Production team on individual acts achieving the desired Lighting look(s)
Once Lighting look has been achieved, note taking, making 'spike' marks on stage to ensure the same look will be replicated for live show
Working within the confines of Production rundown to budget time, space and safety with stagehands to set multiple lighting looks for live show
Managing the many changes and fixes last minute, and planning ahead as much as possible to ensure the happiness of Production and the artist
Keeping copious notes in order to make said changes
Produce a fluid and smooth live show, based on several days of rehearsals
