Summary

Empathetic with an understanding of the care and support needed by families and individuals experiencing Mental Health conditions. Placement with York Region Housing Community Services. In my career, I have earned a degree in Social Service Work and am CPI-certified with thorough training in naloxone administration. I also have experience working with adults and the elderly with over 2 years in the field working as a housing shelter worker. While there; my duties consisted of managing 50 women (each being provided their rooms), making sure that appropriate medication was administered, prepping the food/meal plans in the kitchen, calling grocery chains, food drives, and other businesses for donations, and working with complete access to the shelter's website to gain additional contributions. I also have a 1-year placement working with York Community Housing for the city of York. Through my experience facilitating workshops and working great in team settings, I have great communication skills. I am making flyers and organizing community activities. I am confident I would be a great asset to your organization. I believe I can contribute some great factors and a great work report, while also receiving the necessary challenges to learn and grow within the field.
