• Mentor and supervise up to 18 trainees as well as lower ranking officers.
• Teach practical seamanship and effective communication skills in a high stakes, fast paced environment.
• Directly in charge of overseeing the decks as well as navigation of the ship in four hour watches, including all through the night.
• Spent over 500 hours throughout the winter months of 2021-2022 performing ship and general maintenance.
• Ensure a positive and safe environment for all crew members and trainees through well rounded leadership skills and problem solving capabilities.

• Tutor children individually or in small groups to help with choreography and reinforce targeted skills.

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students to foster environment of support, learning, and open communication.

• Monitor hallways during bathroom breaks and class changes.

• Take over teaching classes when the teacher is absent with little notice.
