  • Eleven years of experience overseeing talent strategy for a network of 20 of the LA Unified School District’s historically most underserved schools. Familiar with union and non-union work environments.
  • Lead team responsible for recruitment and selection of teacher and administrator candidates, new hire onboarding and training, monitoring of performance management systems for school-based staff.
  • Expand team impact, growing from 2 to 7 full-time members over ten years
  • Develop the capacity of principals as human capital leaders to ensure they recruit, select, manage performance for, and retain high-impact educators.
  • Utilize data and evidence to support principals in making key talent decisions.
  • Influence district-wide teacher recruitment and hiring policies so that the hardest-to-staff schools receive equitable support and resources.
  • In 2021, launched the first-ever Teacher Residency program in our school network’s history in partnership with Alder Graduate School of Education; wrote grants totaling $3 million to fund the program for its first five years, hired staff, and supported leaders to grow the annual Residency cohort from 10 members to 25 members over four years.
  • From 2014 to 2019, I also oversaw the complete talent cycle (recruitment, selection, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding) for approximately 70 home office employees of the Partnership for LA Schools, in addition to supporting talent systems at school sites.
