Work History

Member

Toronto Metropolitan University Complex Systems Journal Club
  • The Complex Journal Club is a group of students who meet once a month to discuss a paper on Complex Systems lead by one of the other members to help walk us through all the information. When we meet, we discuss things such as what we learnt, what the researchers did well to deliver information and things the researchers could have changed about the paper to make it better. We take these points and use them to help critically think about other papers we read as well as improve the papers that we write for our research to make it as good as it can possibly be.

Member

Toronto Metropolitan University Physics of Cellular Systems research group
  • The Physics of Cellular Systems group's research aims to understand the physical limits and mechanisms for processes inside living cells. We focus on understanding how energy and geometric confinement drive intracellular signaling and the generation of spatial organization.

Tutor for Math classes

  • I have tutored both high school and college students in their respective math classes and helped them understand and work through the material they were struggling with and achieve their academic goals.

Placement

Design Prosthetics and Orthotics
  • Completed a one-month placement at Design Prosthetics and Orthotics, gaining firsthand experience with the workflow and timelines involved in fabricating orthotic and prosthetic devices in a clinical setting. This opportunity provided valuable insight into real-world operations, contrasting the pace and procedures of a professional facility with those in an academic environment.

Placement

Back2Feet
  • Completed a one-month placement at Back2Feet, where I focused on strengthening core skills applicable across a wide range of projects. This experience enhanced my ability to adapt quickly and approach new challenges with greater confidence and versatility, rather than limiting my development to specific tasks.
