Summary

I am an aspiring physiotherapist that is passionate about sustainable, healthy living through all phases of life. I am interested in sports medicine, pediatric and adolescent health, and prenatal and postnatal care as well. I recently completed my undergraduate Honors Thesis that focused on the impacts of probiotics on mental health during adolescence, where I was able to learn more about the important neuropsychological, gut-brain connections formed during adolescence. This experience allowed me to understand the complexity and interconnectedness of the human body; I am hopeful to expand on that learning in my post-graduate education. I am currently applying for a master's in physiotherapy for Fall 2024, therefore I would love to gain any experience in a rehabilitation setting. I am confident that my experience in rehabilitation at the StayWell program, in mental health with my HearME internship, and working in the service industry has given me adaptability, communication and interpersonal skills that are necessary in a clinical setting.
