Maya Miecz

Once I was able to volunteer at Miecz Dental, located in Leamington Ontario, I was able to organize, clean, and move heavy objects to help out my family business. During the volunteer time I spent at the Miecz Dental office, I was able to establish a part-time experience in a working business.

-Organized papers and computers

-Cleaned floors, bathroom and fridge

-Moved heavy objects

During my babysitting position, I learned to take charge and keep order in the household, as well as learn how to maintain the proper schedule that the guardians have provided the children to follow. I was able to provide security and safety once the parents were unattended.

• Played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to young children.
• Communicated positively with children and guardians.
• Organized and cleaned the home after activities by picking up toys and straightening up the room.
• Prepared healthy, age-appropriate snacks and meals.
• Reassured children when upset providing emotional support and stability.

While I was able to House-sit for one of my neighbors, I was given the task of taking good care of the household and was also able to feed, walk, and accompany their pets while on a trip. During my experience in House Sitting, I was able to always leave the house in perfect condition and take responsibility to watch over the house every day which allowed me to prove myself reliable.

• Communicated with homeowner via phone or text.
• Fed and walked pets, cleaning up after pets indoors and outdoors.
• Cared for houseplants by frequently watering during owners' absence.
• Fed and watered animals and replaced dirty bedding and litter boxes.
• Performed light cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, and wiping down bathrooms.
• Brought in mail and newspaper to maintain the appearance of activity at the client's residence.
