I have worked with Recreation on and off since I was 17 years old to leave for school, I've also spent consistent years working there as well, I primarily worked with children and adult programming. My main objective of these activities is to ensure children were safe within my care while partaking in enjoyable activities that we, Recreation workers provide, as well as overseeing high school summer students who are employed with Recreation. I would work with children throughout the days, indulging in activities such as sports (hockey, floor hockey, baseball, soccer, swimming), camping trips, chaperoning trips outside of the Yukon, and more. Adult programming consisted of sports as mentioned above. My most recent chaperoning position before this summer was in January of this year, I assisted my former boss and coworkers for a Youth trip to Vancouver. There was also events that catered to adults and children that I assisted with, examples being Fathers Day, my communities annual winter carnival, the Christmas project, and many more holidays that my community celebrates with immersive activities.
