  • Led the development, iteration, and implementation of the print process, which compiles evidence packages for appeal hearings, and have held responsibility for compiling and distributing all hearing packages in the Central and Edmonton regions since 2018, and all regions since 2023.
  • Responsible for the scheduling and rescheduling of appeal hearings, including coordination with all parties and stakeholders.
  • Entered various types of notices of appeal into their respective program databases, creating appeal files.
  • Finalized and distributed panel decisions.
  • Prepared abandonment packages for panel member review.
  • Filmed, recorded, and edited legal presentations into training materials for new panel members and Appeals Secretariat staff.
  • Performed phone duties, including providing information on all appeal types, including AISH, CYFE, Alberta Works, PDD, FSCD, CCL, and PPC.
  • Secured and scheduled translator services for appeal hearings.
  • Performed reception duties, including hearing setup and support, as well as received mail functions.
  • Served as a subject matter expert for the development of the SAM system.
  • Managed case files and maintained organized records for efficient retrieval and review.

  • Used the Automated Reporting Card system to release client benefits.

  • Spearheaded the AHS ID Program, which involved coordinating with AHS social workers to provide vulnerable Albertans with a means of obtaining copies of their identification by locating and accessing their historical files with Alberta Works.

  • Trained other GOA and temporary employees to be able to complete all of the above duties.
