Currently, I am a Scholar Ambassador for my cohort. I create icebreakers, speak to open conversations up, and create a positive atmosphere. I've improved my communication skills, learning to better adapt when challenges arise and fostering inclusivity for all. I bridge the gap between my peers and coordinate to ensure everyone voice is heard.
I've tutored kids in various subjects, chemistry, calculcus history, etc. I've particapted in school events like helping with school registration every year, campus clean ups, and done 65 total hrs in my time with NHS. Through experiences, I've learned to better connect with my school, grow as a supportive leader, and make a positive impact.
Progressed from entry to highest level of Orchestra where I read 5+ grade literature, professional music. Learned the essence of teamwork and how everyone contributes to a bigger picture by helping those around me by providing tips on bowings or fingerings.
7-8th grade - part of the middle school program where I participated in summer program and year long person events like getting tutored.
9th-10th grade - served as a mentor to middle school component of program - helping with homework, giving advice, bonding with them, being the one in charge to train new mentors 11th Grade summer before senior year - Student leader - organized, and collaborated in tasks like setting up lunch, designed yearbook, totaled 120hrs for three weeks.
I've planned AVID Unity Time at my school, creating activities for all AVID grades to participate in. I've gone to the AVID classes grade levels below me, sharing my successes and failures and giving advice on what programs to join. I try in this program to pass down all my knowledge to younger AVID students to reach higher limits than me.
