MATTHEW CHIASSON

I currently work at Total Forest Industries in Hagersville. We specialize in grading and pressure treating lumber. Day to day I operate heavy machinery and drive forklift trucks. I am always cautious to operate the equipment in the safest way possible. I currently enjoy my job and the other employees, but I am ready to make a change for the betterment of my career. I am looking forward to new opportunities and learning more skills. I believe that I will be a good fit at PPG Canada and I am eager to join what appears to be a company that is managing for success. I always work to the best of my abilities and am always happy learning skills that will be beneficial for myself and the company. I look forward to the opportunity of possibly joining PPG. • Achieved maximum production by knowing which settings to have for each size and dimension. All sizes and dimensions run smoother in different positions. This includes setting up photo eyes, moving power rollers and setting up the incisor. All aspects must be in the right positions.
• Trained and supervised many of the current employees on the panels and the lumber stacker.
• Making sure that the right end tags correspond with the same size and dimension that is on the tag. Checked during the process of wrapping the lumber and while loading it onto a truck to be shipped off the property.
