As a Senior Environmental Coordinator my daily roles focused on; water course crossings, drilling waste management of the horizontally and directionally drilled pipe bores, bird sweeps, wildlife and habitat salvage, environmental monitoring of construction operations, surface and sediment laden water management and disposal, water quality and flow rate testing, environmental feature markings and signage, working with resource specialists and applying best practices to daily construction operations.

Advising the prime contractor's construction teams with ongoing support of environmental best practices. Monitoring compliance with regulations, approvals, and project commitments, including water quality, sediment and erosion control, equipment condition, and other general day to day environmental monitoring activities. Documenting and supporting contractor response to environmental incidents. Preparing client deliverables, including daily, weekly, and final Environmental Monitoring Reports, as required by clients or regulatory and permit conditions.

Objectives of the Aboriginal Construction Participant Program Coordinator is an extension of the environmental inspection team to address aboriginal groups’ interest in environmental monitoring during project construction, Incorporate traditional knowledge into construction monitoring activities to avoid, mitigate or manage potential project impacts. The role is also to provide opportunities for community members to build a practical understanding of pipeline construction activities and mitigation measures, ensuring that regulatory requirements for aboriginal participation during construction are satisfied and supported by the development of lasting and mutually beneficial relationships with participating aboriginal groups.

Establish, increase and manage opportunities in the pipeline industry with Horizontally Directionally Drilled (HDD) waste management and environmental monitoring applications. Drafting and implementing early stage environmental planning with both clients and regulators to ensure safe and compliant field execution.

Field coordinating all environmental projects for Lloydminster heavy oil and surrounding areas. Specializing in drilling waste management for oil and gas exploration and pipeline HDD crossings. Hiring and training environmental field consultants. Investigating issues and developing effective solutions for hundreds of environmental projects.

As construction supervisor, I was responsible for surveying proposed well locations, obtaining construction for new lease construction. Work closely with landowners that were impacted by facilitating requests within project scope and budget. Construct and develop production pads while meeting production requirements and well servicing parameters. Environmental adviser to Avalon securing third party environmental services required for pre and post construction needs and drilling waste management.

As director of a Junior oil and gas operator (Nordic) I assumed the role of battery and well operator, construction supervisor, drilling rig supervisor and completions supervisor. I was Responsible for every aspect of developing the field on behalf of Nordic which was later sold to Western Plains Resources.

Coordinated construction planning, material resources and staff scheduling to achieve on-time, under-budget completion for drilling operations on the Indonesian Island of Sumatra. Initiated onsite safety program and properly trained team members to decrease injuries. Evaluated team member strengths and assigned tasks based upon expertise and background.

Coordinate drilling waste management efforts of over fifty drilling rigs while coordinating over thirty drilling waste management and reclamation consultants. This position was very challenging with its diversity and large scale. Demanding professionalism and relationship building strategies with clients, landowners, and consulting colleagues.
