Holds special interest in nephrogenetics and pediatric kidney transplantation, combining advanced clinical expertise with a patient- and family-centered approach. . My fellowship focuses on advanced renal replacement therapies, dialysis techniques, and interventional nephrology, blending hands-on patient care, procedures, and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT): Oversee critically ill pediatric patients on CRRT, handling initiation, monitoring, and problem-solving.
• Hemodialysis: Supervise pediatric patients on intermittent hemodialysis, ensuring safe treatments and proper vascular access care.
• Peritoneal Dialysis (PD): Support acute and chronic PD patients, including educating families for home-based dialysis.
• Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) & Dialysis Clinic: Provide ongoing outpatient care for children with CKD and end-stage renal disease, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
• Plasmapheresis: Perform and oversee therapeutic plasma exchange procedures.
• Kidney Biopsy: Conduct pediatric kidney biopsies under supervision and manage patient care before and after the procedure.
• Teaching & Mentorship: Educate pediatric residents, medical students, and nursing staff in nephrology and dialysis practices.
• Academic Involvement: Engage in research, quality improvement initiatives, and other scholarly activities in pediatric nephrology.
