I am a courteous, experienced health care provider to the elderly, both in a LTC setting, and in the community. I have extensive experience and training in dementia care, having worked at the Adams Centre for Dementia Care and Assessment for six years full time during my time at the Niagara Region. I look forward to once again putting my skills to use in a community setting.
Worked in both regular and locked dementia care units. I have a diploma in geriatric Mental Health from Niagara College, in addition to my PSW diploma.
Assisted residents with all ADLs, and reported areas of concern to registered staff.
Strived to foster a unique, caring relationship with each resident.
Used company software to maintain records of services performed and resident's condition and behaviours.
Participated in all relevant training sessions.
I am a people oriented person and have a good rapport with the elderly Before my career in long term care, I worked for 10 years in the community cleaning houses and providing companionship to the elderly
undefinedI belong to the Bruce Trail Association, and go on weekly hikes to keep fit. I also am enrolled in a learn to paddle sprint canoe course with the South Niagara Canoe Club.
