Mary Scott

I have been working as a Registered Nurse for Horizon Health Network since 1994. I have worked at the Harvey, McAdam and Nackawic Health Centres as well as Dr Everett Chalmers and Oromocto Public Hospital's operating rooms.

My duties at health centres include lab-phlebotomy, point of care urinalysis/glucose testing, ECG's, IV therapy, PICC and port care, dressing changes, injections, flu immunization clinics, ear irrigation, BCG treatments, monitoring and adjusting coumadin dosage for patients according to protocol, assisting with minor procedures, assessment of outpatients, telephone triage with referral to appropriate provider/service, community programs, case management, ordering supplies and medications for the centre.

Community programs that I have been involved with include PARTY program, Safe Kids Week-safety fair at local elementary school, blood pressure clinics, Heart to Heart, Band-Frailty study through UNB, fitness classes, alzheimer awareness.
