My Role as the Risk Assessor

*Before the risk to occur (Pre-Risk Assessment).

Before underwriting high-risk properties such as high-rise towers, factories, or large warehouses, it is essential to:-

-Assess the risk control measures.

-Identifying and evaluating risks and determining potential hazards.

-Collecting and analyzing data from various sources to assess risk levels.

These assessments determine the insurance policy rates and whether the insurer should accept or reject the risk.

After The risk to occur (Post-Loss Assessment) my role shifts to:

- Investigating the root cause of the incident to determine whether it resulted from negligence, non-compliance, or unforeseen circumstances.

- Assessing compliance with the insurance policy conditions to verify if the insured followed safety protocols .

- Evaluating the impact of the loss and providing insights to adjust future risk assessments and underwriting decisions.

By conducting these assessments before and after an incident, the risk assessor plays a critical role in minimizing losses, ensuring fair policy pricing, and maintaining accountability in risk management.
