As a classroom volunteer, provides individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including ESL learners and those with ADHD, dyslexia, Autism, and ADD. Works one-on-one, in small groups, and with the whole class to support learning across subjects like English, math, social studies, science, French, and gym class. Takes a tailored approach to instruction, using diverse strategies to explain concepts in ways that match each student’s learning style. By breaking down complex ideas, offering multiple perspectives, and using visual aids, hands-on activities, and guided practice, helps students build confidence and understanding. Also reinforces positive behavior, encourages persistence, and helps students stay focused during lessons. Collaborating with the teachers, prepares and organizes lesson materials, supports with missed assignments, marks and tracks students' progress and assignment completion, and contributes to a structured, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
As a tutor, assesses students' needs and creates personalized lesson plans to address areas of difficulty. Assists with homework, reinforces key concepts, and teaches study skills while monitoring their progress. Additionally, helps develop social skills by teaching proper etiquette and behavioral strategies, ensuring students build confidence both academically and personally.
