  • I was driving for Lyft everyday barely making ends meet
  • One day on my lunch break scrolling through craigslist ads , I came across an ad stating ; caregiver for a 32 year old man with A.L.S (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis)
  • Growing up with a father diagnosed with M.S (Multiple Sclerosis) I thought to myself "I could do that job"
  • The employer/patient Anthony Carbajal and I had an instant bond and he hired me on the spot
  • I was asked to be a live-in Caregiver for Anthony by 10/1/19 , which would provide me with a free room for rent, including utilities and a truly wonderful family to work for
  • For the next 17 months I performed all of the duties required of this position such as bathing , feeding both orally and through a feeding tube in the stomach, help to the bathroom, on and off the toilet, physical therapy , mental health therapy, and many other tasks required.

Weight Lifting

I started lifting weights in high school at 15 years old and haven't stopped since. By senior year I knew this was something I wanted to continue doing forever. After graduation, I decided to get certified as a personal trainer through AFAA. I was hired at L.A fitness at 19 years old as a personal trainer. I have since then continued my weight-lifting journey for myself over the last 26 years. This consistency has given me the mental strength and clarity I need to be successful every day as a human being. 

  I started weigh lifting as a teenager who just wanted bigger muscles. But as an adult with consistency through the years weight lifting , it slowly becomes about keeping your mind mentally strong and stress- free. The feeling you have earned after a workout is so rewarding ,that  everyone should  experience it. 

  Like my homeboy Carl Sagan says, "When you're in love you want to tell the world". Well I've been in love with lifting weights for so long now that I just want everyone to experience this great lifestyle and feeling.
