Work History

Design Engineer

Acushnet
03.2023 - Current
  • Use expert CAD techniques/high level surfacing to develop robust, parametric CAD models.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to develop prototype and production CAD models that meet the design targets for performance, manufacturability, and aesthetics.
  • Transfer prototype and production CAD models to outside vendors and necessary internal customers.
  • Provide internal and external vendors with detailed engineering drawings.
  • Optimize acoustics using modal analysis.
  • Prepare models to be 3D printed on a number of different 3D printers.
  • Manage all assigned project's CAD files, engineering documentation, communication, and presentations throughout the entirety of the project.

Innovation Engineer

Cobra Puma Golf
03.2022 - 03.2023
  • Work closely with other key product stakeholders, including sales, operations, and marketing teams to define concepts objectives to develop into working prototypes ready for production.
  • Independently create and invent new golf concepts, club constructions, and club features.
  • Translate conceptual ideas into 2D/3D Computer Aided Design models for rapid prototyping and design research.
  • Analyze and estimate the performance, mass properties, durability, using 3D CAD software and finite element analysis.
  • Measure mass properties and club specifications using lab equipment and software to ensure consistency with CAD models.
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure products meet engineering specifications at every stage of production.
  • Create engineering drawings and documentation for products.
  • Independently create product artwork/renderings using Adobe programs for laser etching, decals, etc.
  • Write code to take audio data to extract the natural frequencies, power, and duration of a golf club striking a golf ball.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming and ideation of new technologies across metalwood, iron, and putter platforms.

CAD Engineer

Cobra Puma Golf
07.2019 - 03.2022
  • Work directly with the engineering and marketing teams to define product, integrate 2D industrial design sketches into 3D CAD utilizing high level surfacing and problem solving techniques to create parametric models in the creation of new golf club designs, prototypes and tooling.
  • Work with designers and engineers to incorporate golf club forms, shapes, features, artwork, engraving, medallions, secondary inserts and cosmetics.
  • Use Altair FEA software to create 2D and 3D meshes for analyzing stress, deformation, as well as natural frequencies to determine a products durability and sound acceptability.
  • Create accurate and controlled documents/specifications for new product designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Transfer 3D CAD models and engineering drawings to outside vendors and necessary internal customers.
  • Manage product from early design phase to final production phase with necessary product modifications while working simultaneously with engineering and marketing teams along with outside vendors.

R&D MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN

Callaway Golf
