Specificprojects
- This year I was sent to Prince George for the Northwood Pulp Mill for a rebuild of the boiler. On this job, I climbed into a 3 by 4 foot passage, 150 feet above the ground, on scaffolding. I rigged and fitted all the material, hammering wedges between tubes for cutting clearance for cutting out tubes. Then milling tubes with a millhog overhead. After prep was done, I fit the new tube in the old spot and welded it up. Xray and mag particle test was done on every joint.
- Last year in Powell River at the Pulp Mill, I was sent out to weld up the Stainless steel pipe, that has a scoop on end that mixes all the pulp at bottom of digester. The entire height of the tube was around 175 feet. New components were added onto the tube, all the way up, at a variety of different heights. This entailed climbing the scaffolding all the way to the top of the digeseter and down. Packing in all welding equipment and packing out. All welds were Xray tested
