  • Collaborating on a quality initiative project focusing on the use of restraints and highlighting different mental health legislation in order to improve practice of nurses within the emergency environment
  • Committed to preparedness for mass disaster events by being a representative for the Emergency Department in Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre's annual mock code orange table top activity as an ACS accredited Level 1 Trauma Centre. Here, several key hospital stakeholders including trauma surgeons, trauma tem leaders, triage nurses, charge nurses, patient flow, operating room teams and more gather to practice existing policies and discover methods for the organization's improvement
  • Further committed to mass disaster preparedness by partaking in a large scale mock mass disaster activity hosted at Humber College with a team of multidisciplinary health care providers from hospitals across Toronto and the GTA. In this activity I took on the role of charge nurse and was coordinating care of incoming and existing patients from pre hospital to hospital care while facilitating definitive plans for patients of varying levels of acuity.
