Experienced cardiology certified heart failure nurse with fifteen years of practice across care settings and populations. Clinic outpatient care milieu is milieu of preference, allowing for longitudinal engagement in care of patients. Work is mission driven. Current goal is to expand knowledge and contribute to the field at the intersection of cardiac diseases, arrhythmia, genetics, and prevention, with a specific focus on preventing sudden cardiac arrest in youth. Other themes of interest include precision medicine, research translation, patient education and empowerment, rare/less common diseases, optimization of primary and secondary prevention of cardiac disease. My nursing approach is collaborative and inter-disciplinary, always patient centered, as well as nuanced and sensitive to the patient's unique and complex realities, including behavioral and social.
