- For the past 15 years, I had been teaching English and French language and literature to pupils, aged from 12 to 19 years old (that is, from grade 7 to grade 13) in a catholic secondary school
- Moreover, I had the opportunity to be the form teacher as well as the section leader of a specific class every year
- My main duties as teacher, form teacher and section leader were to prepare my daily, weekly and term-wise lesson plan for each class, conduct regular assessments in class, prepare and organize academic activities, keep a record of students’ performance and progress
- As a form teacher, my main functions were to ensure discipline in class, mark the registers and control notes of absence, prepare students’ report books, report students’ progress, and foster a sympathetic understanding with parents
- As a section leader, my main functions were to maintain open and productive communication with management, staff, pupils and parents, help the students develop good learning skills and habits, assist the rector in dealing with problems of indiscipline and misconduct, monitor the general conduct of students and recommend appropriate remedial measures, and provide pastoral care and look after the general welfare of the students
