Procedural nurse in an interventional cath lab assuming the role of monitoring, circulating, and scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as left/right heart caths, PCIs, and pacemakers, on a rotating basis. Monitored pts during procedural sedation.

Worked in an interventional cath lab in the pre/post area. Occasionally took call during STEMI calls monthly. Monitored pt's having procedural sedation during TEE and cardioversion procedures. Also worked perdiem in cardiology monitoring pts having nuclear stress tests and dobutamine stress tests.

Managed Cath Lab procedure teams and continuously monitored flow of cases daily. Assumed training for new hires in the CVT program as well as nurses training in cath lab. Scrubbed PFO procedures as part of the team every Wednesdays for adults and pediatric pts. Responsible for assignments in teams for the day and coordinated with OR vascular team with cases with invasive vascular/peripheral cases such as EVAR. Maintained records for PCOT in cath lab and maintained compliance of department for joint commission. Participated in UBT, and task force for QI working in CQI team consisting of physicians, designated lead staff members and administration. Collected data to identify opportunities for improvement in the department. Responsible for collection of data for NCDR registry for PCI's and device implants. Participated in task team to update policy and procedures of department.

Worked as a nurse clinician in an interventional cath lab/EP lab. Cross trained in procedures and holding room as well as EP procedures. Rotated call for STEMI cases, and took relief charge responsibilities. Maintained monthly and quarterly reports for POCT and QI. Responsible for data collection for NCDR registries as well as research trials. Attended meetings monthly withh physicians and administration for M&M monthly.

Managed evening and night shift in a 12 bed CCU. Coordinated with day shift assistant manager in the management of the department responsible for assignments, scheduling, and budgets of the department, and daily rounds with intensivist and residents. Continued to work per diem shifts after starting work in the cath lab assuming primary care in coronary care unit.

Managed fixed site for blood collection services. Services included collections for whole blood and apheresis for platelets and leukocytes. Maintained records for compliance with joint commission standards and oversaw daily operations. Assessed and treated donors with reactions and complications during blood collections process.

Worked full time as an assistant nursing coordinator for a med surg telemetry unit for the evening shift. Was a working charge nurse in the evening when staffing was low and continued to resolve situations involving pt care and issues with pt and family. Responsible for assignments and as well as acuity of the unit in the evening shift. Coordinated with day shift coordinator on running unit in the absence of the unit manager.

Full time primary nurse for patients downgraded in acuity status from CCU/ICU. Unit covered telemetry and stable vent patients from CCU/ICU.

Entered as a graduate nurse working in a stepdown unit from cath lab and coronary care unit. Also took assignments as primary nurse for cardiac patients pre and post cath lab procedures. Monitored telemetry patients who were being transferred to Washington DC for coronary stent procedures at that time and patients prior to cardiac surgery.
