RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

• Project “Screening Saves Smiles”, Oral cancer Screening.
  Abbottabad, Pakistan
  Principle Investigator
  Conceptualized and implemented a program based on “Training of Trainers” model, “Screening
  Saves Smiles”, oral cancer screening in a high-risk population in rural Pakistan. As the lead
  researcher, I was responsible for developing a clinical scoring tool for calibration of visual
  screening by community health workers. This was coupled with the validated ‘Patients
  perceptions of oral cancer screening’ questionnaire. These tools assessed the behavioral risk
  factors and clinical prognosis for the target population.
