I take good care looking after Mme. Godin for the past five years. As her son does not live in Montreal, I am the principal caregiver in his stead. I take her to the doctors, administer her medication and do errands, such as: groceries, cleaning, laundry, and cooking amongst other menial things. At times, when she wasn't feeling well, I would stay overnight to make sure she was taken care of.
We developed a strong bond and trusted each other over the years.
For 12 years, I have worked with M. Jean-Guy Piché and his wife Mme. Françoise Piché in taking care of them. I have aided them in doing chores, taking care of their laundry and cleaning. I helped them with their medication, in particular, I gave Mme. Françoise insulin among other diabetic medications. I also provided to her some physical exercises and helped her stimulate her mind with puzzles amongst other activities as she started developing dementia in her later years.
Throughout the years, we have created a long and trusted relationship, in which we still consider ourselves friends.
