As a receptionist I check in patients provide with forms and obtain insurance and identification card. Collect copays and answer phone calls. I vital patients as they are coming in and room them. If translation is needed I assist. I make sure rooms are stocked. I help with autoclaving with the equipment. I assist the NP aesthetics and I check out patients. Provide with follow up appointments. Just recently started assisting with billing and verifications.

• Lead MA Experience: Crossed trained front and back (EPIC experience) along with running departments for the day, open/closed schedule’s, provided team with break coverages, covered clinic when we were short staff, rescheduled patients, provided weekly staff scheduling, ordered office supplies, collected money deposit, communicated staff with emails with department updates, worked with manager to provide a smooth work environment.
• Front Office: Answer phone calls,register patients,verified insurance and called and confirmed. Booked appointment for all departments. Translated if needed.
• Back Office: Chart prep,vital patients, roomed patients,translate,discharged patient's (gave labs/imaging orders, scheduled follow up appointments)
• Submitted referrals & followed up with approval or results.
• Rotated with Multiple departments: Gastroenterology (Primarily), Cardiology (preformed EKG 12 lead),Endocrinology,Neurology,Urology,Otolaryngology, Nephrology,Orthopedics,Infectious Disease,Pediatric Surgery,Hematology,Orthopedics.
• Made sure referral's were booked in a timely matter.
• Kept examination rooms clean, stocked with necessary supplies and prepared for incoming patients.
• Called families with lab/ imaging results if normal.
