Summary

Margaret (Marg) is a PMP with over 44 years’ experience in healthcare settings specific to Acute Care and Mental Health in large, complex, regional hospitals and multi-facility organizations. The first 20 years of Marg's career was in management roles which included all skills from managing day to day operations including budgets, personnel hiring to being part of the management team managing clinical, information management and support services. Marg has over 16 years’ experience in project management with Hospital Information System (HIS) implementations including multiple Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) implementations at multi-hospital sites and a large optimization project following the CPOE implementation. Additionally, Marg has experience in testing, conversion planning and setting up post-implementation support. This included supporting a complex group of regional hospitals, in provision of services, in relation to the Cerner Systems working within a regional shared services model.

Project consultant in the USA for 4 Healthcare Organizations in Charleston, WV, Atlanta, Georgia, Knoxville NH, and Concord, NH and then 4 Canadian Healthcare Organizations in Owen Sound, Windsor and area hospitals, Kingston and area hospitals and Vancouver BC. Tasks included the following:

  • Develop and ensure compliance of best practice standards, policies and processes related to project management throughout the organization that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
