  • As this was a private care facility, the high standards of service delivery were of the utmost importance.
  • During my time as the Director of Care, I taught several courses to staff, including Critical Incident Debriefing, Palliative Care, and monthly in-service education.
  • I also worked to assist in and teach the first Palliative Care course offered in Victoria, with three nurses from Hospice.

Accomplishments

  • Research: Performed research and analysis for the conversion of three roles within our organization to move both work and responsibilities within the roles.
  • Presented findings and plan to Regional Directors Lesson Planning: Working with Learning Development Services, I created the teaching and learning manuals along with the computer learning environment to ensure interactive learning examples as well as on-line opportunities for assessment and mentoring.
  • Completed my last course in Certification of Adult Continuing Education while travelling. This experience provided me an opportunity to seek out alternate learning and teaching environments.
  • Continued my education with the completion of TEFL in 2021.
  • Returned to a lead position to assist with the Covid-19-19 immunizaiton clinic.
