  • Trained as an ETA driver to take small groups of inmates off grounds to various activities and programs such as AA or the library.
  • Participate in set up, food prep/serving/clean up, and running activities for the inmates family day events. Enabling inmates to see their families and connect with those outside of prison.
  • Help in the prison "salon" to show humanity and care to the inmates.
  • Help out at sport and recreation events for the inmates, engaging and interacting with the inmates.

Accomplishments

    I am a mother of 3 amazing humans. I am also a survivor of domestic violence and abuse. I moved out at a young age and worked to survive, eventually going into trade school to become a hairstylist. Education was a life-long dream. I redid grade 12 in 2022 to achieve acceptance into University of Waterloo as a mature student.
