I had the opportunity to explore my potential as a DOP in a supernatural thriller about a man trying to convince Death itself to let him live before a sand clock runs its course. The visuals were vibrant and stylized, it was truly a wonderful experience.

I had the opportunity to play as right hand to our incredible DOP Youth Young in this coming-of-age drama about a gay student in a highly conservative catholic exploring her newfound sexuality, the visuals were heavily stylized and gave me an excellent opportunity to work with new lights like hydras and velvets to create surreal imaginary, it was my pleasure to fulfill our DOP´s vision for this project.

This project was my first official interaction with the role of Gaffer, it was my first learning experience working alongside a DOP and Key Grip as a team to bring the director´s vision to life, I was also working on a film set, with proven incredibly versatile as it was lit in a plethora of different styles for multiple productions teaching invaluable lessons of how light can transform a space.

This particular project was interesting as it was more aimed towards neutral lighting inspired by low-contrast sitcoms, with a 4:1 ratio, my role as Key Grip provided me with great insight into the techniques of lighting for a multi-cam television inspired setup .

This particular project used candles as its main practical motivation source of light, so it was interesting finding the correct dynamics to make it work alongside the DOP and strategically hiding the lights on set to achieve the best possible most believable results working with sources of this nature.
