Transit Operations Control Center Superintendent

  • Responsible for hiring, training and employee management of Electric Rail controllers, Bus supervisors and Communication coordinators
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising all operational activities for the Transit Supervisors and Controllers in the Transit Operations Control Centre (TOCC)
  • This is done in accordance with transit schedules, operating rules and procedures and provincial & federal regulations for cost effectiveness, customer service, and safe, reliable and efficient TOCC service
  • During emergency incidents, liaise directly with department, City, local, provincial and national partners in the assessment and management of confidential information for the purpose of joint planning, threat and risk assessments, critical infrastructure protection and continuity planning
  • Direct the operations of Section, provide input into Unit budgets, strategic and operational plans, and manage financial and human resources
