Compute dimensions and tolerances and measure and lay out work pieces.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, etc.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and
materials on machines as necessary to machine parts as required.
Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision
measuring instruments such as micrometers, verniers, calipers.
Set up and program machine tools for use by machining tool operators.
Report deviations from specifications and tolerances to supervisor.
Complete and maintain inspection reports.
