  • Routinely examining child's G-tube and replacing the Mic-key button when necessary.
  • Setting up child's feeding pump at the rate and dose specified by complex care team and self-evaluating when to adjust dose/ rate at times of sickness, fatigue.
  • Administering medications on a daily basis.
  • Finding new creative ways to stimulate child's vision and perform hand over hand techniques to engage child in activities to help with eye-muscle coordination.
  • Follow-ups with Sick Kids specialists regarding ongoing tests, treatments and surgeries (cardiologist, orthopedic, nephrologist, ophthalmologist, etc.).
  • Complete all paperwork on a timely basis to ensure continued financial support from government and various organizations.
