Maher Ansari

Looked after various animals at the shelter, including cats, dogs, rodents and birds. Cleaned the habitats/kennels and refilled food daily. Created and handed out pamphlets to raise awareness about the shelter and encourage others to adopt the animals. Created a gofundme and gathered funds to be used in paying for shelter supplies.

Provided needed company and emotional support for Elderly residents at the nursing home. Engaged with the residents through card games, board games, television watching and conversation to prevent loneliness and boredom.

Mastered Piano playing under the tutelage of accomplished and notable instructors. Performed countless recitals in churches, banquet halls, schools, homes and elderly care facilities to provide entertainment for parents, employees and patients. Completed testing at the highest level through the Music Teacher's Association of California's program and was consistently selected amongst peers to perform at the Branch of Honors recital, the highest state achievement.

Assisted students in conducting belt promotion ceremonies and teaching Taekwondo form, board-breaking, self-defense and sparring techniques while testing to become a black belt. Celebrated and honored student achievements while reinforcing commitment to continued growth.
