I am currently working for an 89 year-old paraplegic woman at her home in Camarillo. My patient has two stage three pressure sores located on her buttocks. I have worked alongside West Coast Wounds while also performing wound care on my patient who requires skin grafts and sterile environment techniques. I perform bowel movements and I am consistently emptying her super pubic catheter bag. I am well-equipped in using Hoyer lifts for transfers in and out of bed, wheelchairs, etc. I also provide my patient with;

  • Bed baths
  • Assistance with changing
  • Range of motion exercises
  • Provide for her breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Laundry / linen changes
  • Recordings of vital signs

  • Christian Church of Thousand Oaks: Handmade Items: My involvement has been creating and donating handmade items for the church to sell, with the intention of raising funds that directly benefit the church.
  • Christian Church of Thousand Oaks: Young Adult Leader; This role enabled me to deepen my faith, enhance personal growth, and foster closer community connections. Witnessing the collective impact of collaborative efforts, such as preparing meals for the homeless, organizing donations, and offering support to those in need, underscored the significance of active community engagement. These experiences emphasized the profound value of serving others with love, compassion, and dedication.
  • Wound Care Assistant; In my role as a Wound Care Assistant, I collaborated closely with a diverse team of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners from Omni Wound Care. Together, we delivered comprehensive Stage 3 wound services to a patient under my care, ensuring effective treatment and management of complex medical conditions.
  • One Stop, Ventura County Health Care Agency- At One Stop in Ventura County, I provide support and assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness.
