As a home caregiver at Assisted Living Opportunities, I am responsible for the nighttime care of a quadriplegic man with a C4/5 spinal cord injury. This job involves hands-on patient care and is consistent with CASPA requirements. It includes performing range-of-motion exercises for the patient, monitoring the patient's blood pressure and pulse, analyzing the patient's skin for novel signs of irritation or disease, and providing basic hygiene care. Responsibilities include:

• Performing range-of-motion stretching exercises on the patient.
• Measuring and recording blood pressure and pulse.
• Monitoring and recording patient skin health.
• Performing basic hygiene care for the patient.
• Dressing and undressing the patient.
• Preparing food for, and feeding the patient.
• Transferring a patient with a Hoyer lift.
• Performing house assistance duties for the patient, including laundry and kitchen clean-up.

As a Dietary Aide at Casa De Las Campanas Health Center, I am responsible for the service of food to the health center residents. The resident population at the health center is made up of elderly individuals who are currently being treated by doctors and/or nurses for health conditions or concerns. I am responsible for ensuring that all dietary needs of residents are met, including carbohydrate-controlled, low-sodium, and renal diet requirements. Responsibilities include:

• Interacting with residents and nursing staff regarding food preferences and requests.
• Assembling and delivering food trays to appropriate areas within the Health Center.
• Providing table service to all residents in the Health Center Dining Room.
• Serving appropriate food items and adaptive wear within the Health Center.
• Cleaning and resetting tables after each meal.
• Preparing and delivering between-meal nourishments.
• Restocking the nurses' station and employee lounge to par levels, as assigned.
• Performing all cleaning and sanitation duties as assigned.
• Preparing and setting up all special events in the Health Center when scheduled.

As a hostess at The Cheesecake Factory, I worked hard to satisfy the needs of both the restaurant staff and the guests. Working at this restaurant, I gained valuable experience communicating with customers, coworkers, and managers. As a result of my employment here, I have learned to work efficiently and kindly in high-stress, fast-paced environments. My responsibilities included:

• Greeting guests, typing their names and phone numbers into our electronic system, and notifying them when appropriate.
• Answering and fulfilling phone calls, including reservation requests, and experience complaints.
• Keeping an updated map of the restaurant's seating status at all times.
• Assigning each new guest a table appropriate to their requests, party size, and server availability.
• Estimating and fulfilling an accurate wait-time quote for guests, and communicating this time with the other hosts on shift.
• Communicating closely with servers regarding how many guests they may accommodate.
• Ensuring each server received an equal number of tables.
• Communicating closely with customers regarding special requests, concerns, complaints, and questions.
