Extracurricular Activities

President: Carleton University’s Afghan Students Association (CASA), January 2023 - Present

Founded the organization to work on providing youth with a welcoming space to contribute to society, and promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. Established and maintained recognition with student groups, the Afghan Embassy, Parliamentarians, Legislators, and Civil Society. 

Global and International Studies Program Representative, Carleton University: Present: representing the program in orientations for newly admitted students, and open houses for parents and students 

Participant at Carleton Model parliament: Senate of Canada, February 2023 - 2024: Learned debating skils to win over negotiations and debates over my riding. 

Volunteer Experience

Volunteer at the Fundraiser Bazaar for Indigenous families, April 2024: hosted by the Heads of Mission Spouses Association (HOMSA) in Ottawa, ON, which supports multicultural performances.

Fundraiser Event Organizer, November 2023: Carleton University’s Afghan Students Association (CASA) Hosted a fundraiser dinner for over 200 guests for Afghanistan’s earthquake relief, secured nine sponsorships through outreach, and hosted diplomats, parliamentarians, scholars, students, community leaders, and families. Led a team of over 60 volunteer students while developing teamwork and team management skills.
