  • Oversaw and supported the operational requirements for the 22,000-person humanitarian aid organization. Work included supporting offices and refugee camps in the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  • Had direct responsibility for the Information Technology, Safety and Security, Global Supply Chain and Logistics, and Language Services teams.
  • Developed the overall Technology Strategy for the organization with a refresh done prior to my departure to include latest capabilities, such as AI.
  • Implemented a large set of applications to ensure employees could be as efficient and effective in their jobs.

  • Started as the Chief Information Officer for J&J's Diabetes Business (LifeScan). My areas of responsibility grew until I took early retirement after serving as the co-interim CIO for the whole corporation.
  • The primary focus in all of the roles was building a strong partnership with the business teams, and developing solutions to meet their most pressing business needs. Sometimes those solutions were for internal use; sometimes for external.
  • Directly managed architecture, vendor management, and applications teams. Leveraged central teams for infrastructure support.
  • Mentored and supported more junior staff, particularly women interested in technology roles and leadership.

  • Oversaw the development and release of approximately eight products while serving in software R&D roles.
  • Asked to move into a new role for the company a Group CIO position, in my case focused on HP's Computer Manufacturing group. The goal was to work closely with business leaders to determine their most critical needs, and then propose technology solutions to assist where appropriate. Grew the team from 3 to over 350 in four years.

Current Non-Profit Board Roles

  • Partnership for Afterschool Eduction serving the underserved in all 5 NYC Boroughs. Currently serve as Chair of the Finance Committee.
  • Facing History & Ourselves which uses lessons of history ro challenge teachers and their students (primarily at the high school level) to stand up to racism, antisemitism and other forms of bigotry and hate. Currently serve as the chair of the finance committee.

Recent Non-profit Board roles

  • Served for 8 years (2 terms) on the Smith College Board of Trustees. Chaired their IT Task Force at the start and the Resources and Operations Committee for the final 3 years of my term. Oversaw the fundraising, design and completion of a new library.
  • Awarded the John M Greene Award, highest alumnae honor given by Smith's President and Board, for years of service to the College.
