My internship with WILDNorth taught me many useful and transferable skills that have prepared me for caring for both domestic and wild animals such as feeding infant and adult animals while monitoring their feeding, bathroom, and behavior habits. During the busy season, I learned how to effectively manage my tasks while knowing to report something right away and when it was okay to wait until my supervisor wasn't as busy. Teamwork was the most important thing I learned over the summer. Everyone had to help each other prepare diets, take turns cleaning dishes, and doing laundry so supplies were ready when needed.
